Our class assembly

In our class assembly today, we thought about how things can start small like a seed and grow to be great and wonderful things.

We thought about believing in ourselves and each other, sharing and friendship and faith in God.

Geography - Our Walk Around Blandford

On Wednesday we went to explore the local area. We were looking at houses and collecting data about them.

We walked quite a long way but we kept going and we spotted all kinds of things - like the new houses, ducks on the river and a big detached house in town.

We also went to look at the oldest house that survived the fire of Blandford. The chimneys looked funny because they were not round.

We also stopped for snack by the church. Yummy apples!

We had to find all different types of houses like detached, semi detached and terraced. We also thought about the materials the roofs and houses were made out of.

We recorded them in a table using tally marks and then when we got back to school we used a computer to make a graph for us.

Welcome back!

Welcome back to the new term and the new year!

We have had a great start to the term and have worked very hard since Christmas.

We are off for our walk around Blandford next week to investigate the houses in the local area so look out for the pictures and work and then we will be looking at old houses.
